Writer Elizabeth Rush is author of Rising: Dispatches from the New American Shore, a finalist for the 2019 Pulitzer Prize. She discusses her book and reads a passage. Her book offers a sensitive view of American communities routinely impacted by rising sea levels. Rush gave a talk titled “On Rising Together: Creative and Collective Responses to the Climate Crisis” on March 5, 2020 as the Oregon Humanities Center’s 2019–20 Robert D. Clark lecturer.
