“From Silent Spring to Silent Night: Of Toads and Men,” with Tyrone Hayes

Tyrone Hayes is an integrative biology professor at the University of California at Berkeley. Hayes was the speaker for the UO Environmental Studies Fall 2014 Convocation and invited to be the guest scholar for the Herbicides and Health Conference, October 24-25, 2014. Hayes has spoken widely about the effects of atrazine, a commonly used herbicide. Hayes’ research suggests atrazine is threatening amphibian populations, including damage to the sexual functioning of frogs.
