Janet Heinonen – Editor and Publisher of “Keeping Track” newsletter and former Women’s Sports Information Director for the University of Oregon.
Tom Heinonen – Co-author of “All About Road Racing” and recently-retired 28-year coach for the University of Oregon Women’s Track team.
Laura Coll – Co-owner of the Eugene Running Company and is a retired long-distance runner who represented the United States 17 times as part of the National team.
Brad Hudson – Former individual Pac-10 Champion in Cross Country for the University of Oregon and currently serves as a coach for some of the world’s most promising long-distance runners.
A panel of coaches, athletes, trainers, and runners share their individual and family experiences with University of Oregon Track and Field and the local running community. Prior to the panel discussion, Tom and Janet Heinonen and Joe Henderson led a guided tour of recently renovated Hayward Field, offering first-hand commentary on Hayward’s historic moments, original construction and many renovations, as well as a preview of the U.S. Olympic Trials.
