Brian Klopotek (Choctaw), associate professor, Ethnic Studies; and Kirby Brown (Cherokee), assistant professor, English. They discuss the new minor in Native American Studies at the UO. Brown also talks about the “Alternative Sovereignties” conference which will be held at the UO May 8-10, 2014. Klopotek talks about his book, Recognition Odysseys: Indigeneity, Race, and Federal Tribal Recognition Policy in Three Louisiana Indian Communities.
