As part of the University of Oregon’s Identity Project, NPR Special Correspondent Michele Norris speaks in a packed EMU Ballroom about her experience writing her family memoir, “The Grace of Silence,” and her ongoing journey talking about race through The Race Card Project. Norris has come to UO to promote and explore The Race Card Project on our campus and through it, address issues of race in our democracy, and the impact that the media can and does have on our national discussions. For more information, please visit the Race Card Project page.
