College of Education, Alumni Association present ‘Science of Autism’

Dr. Fombonne is a professor of psychiatry at OHSU and the director of autism research at the Institute for Developmental Disabilities and the Child Development & Rehabilitation Center. His keynote address explores autism trends in an attempt to determine if autism is an epidemic. After his address is a panel discussion with leading autism experts who explore current developments. Panelists include:

*Phil Washbourne, associate professor of biology and Institute of Neuroscience, University of Oregon
*Laura Lee McIntyre, associate professor of special education and clinical sciences, University of Oregon
*Judy Newman, co-director of Early Childhood CARES, College of Education, University of Oregon
*Wendy Ricketts, parent of child with Asperger’s Syndrome and patron of the UO College of Education
