Oregon Bach Festival: Hinkle Seminar: The Goldberg Variations

This panel discussion aims to uncover intriguing perspectives from three artists with deep personal experience of the great Bach keyboard work. Pianist Angela Hewitt has played the Goldberg Variations thousands of times since age 16 and she is known worldwide for her performance and interpretation of Bach on the piano. Musicologist Tim Smith is the author of the interactive components of the Digitalbach.com website. Its exploration of the Variations features Matthew Halls’s performance on harpsichord of the work, released on Linn Records.
