Uses animation to present elementary facts of human growth and reproduction, and the differences between boys and girls in the rate of maturation; describes the glands which control physical and sexual activity, the male and female sex organs, menstruation, fertilization, pregnancy, and birth. Includes classroom scenes in which a teacher handles questions which arise following the viewing of the animated sequence. The first edition of HUMAN GROWTH was produced in 1947 and shown in hundreds of schools throughout the United States and around the world.
