The Emerging Asia Pacific Community and the American Role

Lee Hong-Koo, former Prime Minister of South Korea spoke at the University of Oregon on April 4th, 2006, as part of the Distinguished Presidential Lecturer series. Lee Hong-Koo was the Prime Minister of South Korea under former President Kim Young-Sam. Before that he served twice as deputy Prime Minister for Unification, dealing with relations between the divided two Korean states. He was also a member of the Korean National Assembly and chairman of the ruling New Korea Party.

The Presidential Lecture series was begun in 2002 by University of Oregon President Dave Frohnmayer.
