UO Today #456: Kwame Anthony Appiah

| Open Player in New Window

Appiah discusses the concept of cosmopolitanism (being a citizen of the world) as well as his roll as president of the PEN American Center. He gave two talks as the 2009-10 Tzedek Professor: “Defending Freedom of Expression in the Written Word” on May 26, 2010 and “A Life of Honor” on May 27, 2010 in Portland.

UO Today, the Oregon Humanities Center’s half-hour television interview program, provides a glimpse into the heart of the University of Oregon. Each episode offers viewers a conversation with UO faculty and administrators as well as visiting scholars, authors, and artists whose groundbreaking work is shaping our world.
