Paul Gilding, author of The Great Disruption: Why the Climate Crisis Will Bring On the End of Shopping and the Birth of a New World, discusses how the coming crisis will be economic and not environmental. He talks about his optimism for how humanity will meet the challenges of economic disruption. On November 15, 2011, Gilding gave a lecture titled “The Mother of All Conflicts: Infinite Economic Growth vs. a Finite Planet” as the 2011-12 Cressman Lecturer.
