This episode features Margaret “Margie” Paris, Dean of the University of Oregon School of Law. She practiced criminal law for six years in Chicago, specializing in defense for white-collar criminal prosecutions. She came to the University of Oregon in 1992, and was appointed Dean in 2006. . She teaches advanced appellate advocacy, criminal law, criminal investigation and criminal adjudication. Margie Paris received the Orlando John Hollis Faculty Teaching Award, the law school’s highest teaching honor. Humanities Center Director Steve Shankman interviews faculty, staff, and visiting lecturers about their research and interests for a 30 minute show that gives an inside look at the University of Oregon.
